Jon has led The Concept Stadium as CEO since he co-founded the agency in 2010. The Creative Marketing Agency is a local market leader with a number of Commercial Creatives on-board, making it an award-winning creative & boutique branding, web, digital and integrated marketing & communications strategy outfit. Jon is also an Executive Director and leads the Core-Ops Management Team.
During his tenure, the agency has repeatedly been recognized by clients as a responsive, agile and strategic in a number of brand activations and digital experiences. As CEO, he’s responsible to lead a team of professionals and creatives. In addition, he consults on Marketing Strategy for a number of business concerns, as well as reputable local and international / multi-national brands; such as Unilever, Qatar Airways, Nestle and Epic Communications, amongst others. His constant drive is targeted to create and define a culture in which aesthetics and business performance objectives could co-exist and create their own eco-system. He is also responsible for all functional areas including P&L; as well as Human Capital; Growth and New Product Development. He is also the Quality Officer of the Company in line with the ISO9001 Certification.
Prior to leading The Concept Stadium, Jon served as Head of Marketing at HBM Group – an international financial, corporate and e-gaming services provider; as well as Marketing Manager for Melita – a quad-play telecommunications provider via its Hybid-Fibre-Coax network to households and business units in Malta. During his tenure in such private sector enterprises, Jon was responsible for directing the Marketing and PR functional area as well the as development of prodcut and service portfolio including business-development-relationship-management.
In 2014, Jon was awarded The Outstanding Young Person Award by Junior Chamber International (Malta) for business and entrepreneurial achievements, and in 2021 he was nominated for Cultural Achiement Category for his work in societal-marketing. He also delivers several keynotes to students and business professionals in a number of fora, including entrepreneurship seminars as well as to University of Malta students. He is also one of the founders of MACE – the Malta Aviation Conference & Expo; as well as one of the promoters of The Jonathan Chetcuti Program (his late Co-Founder at The Concept Stadium). In this latest initiative Jon raised funds to build an outdoor playground facility in Ethiopia, via his own Camino de Santiago.
Jon is a tireless and leading advocate for Corporate Social Responsibility and its link to Brand Marketing; this being the subject of his thesis. He takes a personal interest in the development of non-profit community service organisations. He was also the President of the University Commerce Students’ Association (ASCS); Executive Member of the University Students’ Council (KSU); Secretary General of the National Youth Council (KNZ – Malta); Member of the National Commission for Sustainable Development and EU Youth Affairs Commission Member of the European Youth Forum in Brussels.
Jon graduated from the University of Malta with a first-class Management Honours degree, having previously studied at the Institute of Financial Services (UK).
He relishes spending time with his wife, Charlene, and their two daughters, Carla and Martina. He speaks fluent English, Italian and basic French. He is an avid lover of travelling, food and wine and Tottenham Hotspur!
