Branding a Fresh Culinary Experience

Located within a 19th century palazzo opposite Balluta Bay in Sliema one can find OKA’s at The Villa. Inspired by the famous oak trees overlooking Balluta Bay, the restaurant provides all-day dining experience for all the family. The restaurant has made it its mission to bring provide distinguished quality to each of its culinary offerings by blending classic dishes with modern twists.
The Concept Stadium’s Commercial Creatives were approached by the Xara Collection to brainstorm a name and ideate a brand that would embody this culinary experience and tell its story.
The name OKA’s is inspired by the famous oak trees that overlook Balluta Bay. The oak tree is a symbol of strength, wisdom and endurance, and these three qualities helped serve as a pediment to the brand starting from the name and going into visuals, with the logo incorporating an aged oak tree as a main icon as well as a typeface that represents strength and endurance, as well as the elegance that one experiences when dining at the restaurant itself.
Following brand identity and design, The Concept Stadium’s Creative Studio worked on brand guidelines that will guide the brand’s evolution in the coming years, while ensuring it remains consistent and recognisable. Our Commercial Creatives were also responsible for the restaurant’s menu concept and menu design, including a version specifically for children.
The Concept Stadium’s Web Team was also engaged as part of this project, creating a sub-domain via the Xara Collection website focused specifically on OKA’s at The Villa and its offering. The website was designed and launched in a way that aligns with the same inspiration for the brand and the concept of the restaurant starting from the brand story and going into the brand experience.
Our Commercial Creatives were also engaged to create a Corporate Stationary Suite for the brand as well as guidance on social media presence and photography support.
