Role and Responsibilities
As a Website Developer specialising in WordPress, your role will focus on elevating user experiences through your advanced coding prowess. Your responsibilities will encompass:
- Leading the design, development, and deployment of template-based and custom-designed websites, ensuring both aesthetics and functionality.
- Spearheading the management, updates, and enhancements of a diverse portfolio of WordPress managed websites, continuously optimising performance and security.
- Innovating responsive designs, conceptualizing novel layouts, and crafting sample interfaces across diverse digital assets.
- Presenting polished, client-ready concepts, gathering feedback, and integrating inputs to refine the final output.
- Seamlessly integrating diverse online media elements into web-based formats, enhancing interactivity and engagement.
- Overseeing the complete website backend lifecycle, including intricate database design, seamless server integration, and robust security implementations.
- Conducting rigorous website performance tests, identifying bottlenecks, and swiftly troubleshooting complex issues.
- Delivering comprehensive training sessions to clients, ensuring they harness the full potential of their digital platforms.
- Orchestrating meticulous reviews and performance optimisations across varied web touchpoints, from introductory splash pages to comprehensive customer journeys.

Requirements
We’re looking for a driven individual with the following qualifications and skills:
- Proven experience in designing and developing responsive websites across diverse browsers and devices.
- Strong conceptual skills, encompassing online application, architecture, and UX/UI concepts.
- Proficiency in the latest technology stack, including:
- WordPress and its latest plugin ecosystem (with a backend focus).
- Modern front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and proficiency in popular frameworks such as React or Vue.js.
- Node.js for server-side JavaScript.
- PHP 8 for back-end development.
- Advanced debugging tools and techniques.
- Expertise in CSS pre-processing (e.g., SASS/SCSS).
- Converting wireframes and static designs into functional dynamic websites.
- Working with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML).
- Git for version control.
- Docker for containerization.
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality and data integrity.
Additional Skills
- Fluent in graphic design practices and adept with modern web production software, including Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, etc.), Figma, or Sketch (considered an asset).
